The National Isotope Development Center (NIDC) is actively seeking a Legacy Isotope Product Manager to join our team. This senior-level staff member will be responsible for technical support to NIDC staff in the areas of isotope production, processing, and distribution; management of the Legacy Isotope & Heavy Element product line; and regular interfacing with customers who purchase these isotopes. They will also help evaluate new production requests by assessing technical and economic feasibility alongside U.S. Department of Energy Isotope Program (DOE IP) management and recommend entry/exit of isotope markets.

This individual has also traditionally provided subject matter expertise to the DOE IP network in the area of transportation and logistics such as shipping procedures, container needs, and DOT/IATA regulations. They also lead a Transportation Working Group to address program-wide issues and facilitate strategic planning.

Located at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, the NIDC serves as the business interface for the DOE IP.

The National Isotope Development Center (NIDC) is also seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this position are to maintain an up-to-date inventory for all isotopes produced within the DOE IP production network and to ensure physical inventories reported by each production site align with data stored in the NIDC’s enterprise resource planning system, SAP. This individual will also collaborate with NIDC colleagues on numerous cross-cutting tasks that benefit from their insights on isotope inventory data collection and tracking practices.
