DOE Office of Science Accepting Applications for Spring 2023 Undergraduate Internships

The Office of Science is pleased to announce that applications are currently being accepted for the Spring 2023 term for three programs offered by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science: the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) program, the Community College Internships (CCI) program, and the Visiting Faculty Program (VFP).
SULI and CCI offer undergraduates opportunities to conduct research or technical projects, respectively, at DOE national laboratories and facilities under the mentorship of laboratory staff scientists and engineers. Project topics cover VFP seeks to increase the research competitiveness of faculty members and their students at institutions historically underrepresented in the research community in order to expand the workforce vital to DOE mission areas. As such, VFP especially attracts faculty members from Minority ServingInstitutions, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
SULI, CCI, and VFP participants are selected by the DOE national laboratories and facilities from a diverse pool of applicants from academic institutions around the country. The programs are managed by the Office of WorkforceDevelopment for Teachers and Scientists (WDTS) in the Office of Science.
Applications for Spring 2023 are due October 5, 2022.
